Not a bad thing since I had my seafood and also, quiet time on my own.

Was kinda impromptu. As in the place that we decided to dine at.

Yes, Peking duck specialist...

& the chef (for the peking duck)

Apparently it was reallly goood. But I can't judge since this was what I ate:

Crepe w the veg was yummy ok!

& no, I'm not having a vegeterian diet.

I just don't eat duck for personal reasons.

Our other orders in which I enjoyed!

A pretty decent place. Probably fantastic if you love duck.

Price wise, a little steep.

Actually, no, its expensive for these few dishes.

We spent about $50 each!

Applause to their creativity! They have this Kaya Toast flavour. Yes, kaya (coconut pandan jam, popular in SG and some other asian countries) with a slab of butter sandwiched in between the macaron shells!

AND

I l♡ve l♡ve l♡ve their orea and hazelnut... will try the others next time!

One of my favourite macaron place. Sadly they do not have the dark chocolate flavour so nothing for the BF!

And yes, they made it to the Top 20.. why am I not surprised :)

Dreams

I've got no idea why I always dream of reunion dinner with Ah Ma.

This time, she knew that she was dying.

The scene was set at this old place, or rather the whole atmosphere was grayish.

However, the whole atmosphere was.. happy.

She insisted on cooking her usual before she pass on..

I remembered one of it was her usual fried egg noodles.

Wished I had remembered to blog it earlier. Dreamt of it two nights back.. it was still vivid in my memory one that day but I didnt want to turn on my laptop for fear that it will disrupt my studies. :(

Now I forgot the details. :(

The boys' birthday celebration!

At D.O.C

Got to say it's one of the best pizza that Melbourne has to offer.. well, at least for those pizza joints that I've patronized!

Good to celebrate your birthday there because the crews take the initiative to make it special.. and we (Me, Sop & BF) actually gave them tips!

It's like my first time giving tips in Melb because usually,

I dislike the services in Melb or arent too impressed. But this place, this crew in particular had won us over.

Ok, not because of the services that made me rave about the place but the food was goood.

But I must emphasize that you MUST order their Prosciutto or the Truffle mushroom.

Their seafood pizza.. like Ladro, was P.L.A.I.N.

Ladro's was even more disappointing (their prawn pizza) because I really felt as if I was eating flat bread w tomato sauce.

& damn, they charged for the Parmesan cheese! 2.50 for a pathetic little saucer. $#$#%^

Never mind about that, will post up the photos and such, later.

The other good place is at 400 gradi.

In fact, that place is my favourite becauseeee they offer good meat and seafood choices!

And their entree, the Prosciutto Di Parma was a massive YUM!

BF said it's pretty close to what he had in Italy.

Sadly, I forgot about my camera that day so.. no food pictures!

Like, come on?

She has helped more needy Singaporeans than any little idiots in Singapore have done & still managed to balance her studies so well that she can excel?

Are you freaks even willing to give up your leisure time to help organise charity events, etc? HUH?

And there you are complaining about "Need welfare state to help the needy, etc"

BUT ARE YOU DOING ANYTHING?

I bet most of you had only done community service by force when you are in school. FULL STOP.

I also would like to add that the Presidential scholarship has no quota in the intake.

It's all about whether you are good enough or not.

And I highly doubt that you are.

Been really busy the past few weeks (coming to a month). Always OUT for most of the times... exhausting but enjoyable.

Oh yes, dental appointment too for my wisdom tooth extraction. There is/was/is/was inflammation on my gum.

Yup, that bad.

So, I had to get that remove.

Just when I thought that I dont have to BECAUSE IT WAS GROWING UPRIGHT! But my jawline is NOT BIG ENOUGH and therefore, my gum decided to grow over the wisdom tooth to try and conceal it (something along that line).

It will be my first tooth extraction!!!!! （ﾟдﾟlll）

Anyway,

had a surprise bday cake at midnight, in the car, ON OUR (me, bf, sop & jerm) WAY TO DINNER.

Super late dinner because we got kicked out of the house by the boys.

6 hours! In a dead shopping mall.

Got kicked out at 5pm after our Dandenong trip.

Andddd all shops (except for supermarket, cinemas and SOME food joints.) closes at 5pm (unless Thurs & Fri)

So, in a dead mall, we managed to do the following:

Caught Super 8. >>>> WE DIDNT LIKE IT! Was pretty disappointed with the movie. It was like some kind of exaggerated train explosion w a mean ET)

Hang around Kmart.
A ball-throwing-at-rodents/ghosts arcade game.
Watching HP fans dressed up for the premiere! Something like this:

Previously we had introduced fresh food (beef for special occasion), wet food (Nature's food because of all the marketing strategy stating how "real" the meat is used for the processing) and all the little rubbish that I give her that she is not too fond of dry food.

But this puzzle thing definitely make her "excited" to get her eat her kibbles.

Cons: The treats came out really fast! (っへ∩べ✿)

Also MAYBE because the kibbles that I've used are small.

(She's only 3.5kg sooo yeah. Small kibbles.)

Dreams

Been having alot of weird dreams lately.

Weird as in, it felt like those dreams were bringing me back to the past, when I was young.

Supposed to be considered as happy dreams but it makes me sad by thinking back on like how such activities might not happen again.

I had only remembered some of the dreams. I knew there were more but I really couldn't recall.

Nevertheless, continue reading if you are interested. Though I must say it's pretty senseless and boring to you guys.

Wanted to brush them off but decided to just do up a post, just in case all those 'childhood' dreams meant something? A year later or so?

Because, I kept having dreams that are actually telling me something, or sometimes, it is something that I can relate to in the future.

Then, I can reference back since I no longer keep a diary.

Few days back, I had dreams of having breakfast with my WHOLE family, just my family. No BFs.

At this huge market hawker centre.

(Not that I don't welcome my bf or my sister's bf because of course, the more the merrier.)

The dream just makes me feel like it is bringing me back to when I was a child.

When I used to sleep early, waking up early for breakfast with all my family member present on a beautiful Sunday morning.

Another dream was something involving my grandma house, my grandma, my mum, myself, staying over at grandma's place, etc. Can't remember the details.

Now that grandma is gone, and the place will be sold soon (I think because my uncle had bought a new place at Seng Kang or Hougang, can't remember), I am feeling very upset.

Such memories.

That dream also seemed to be like during my primary school moments when there was a period whereby we (my mum, sisters and myself) used to go to my grandma place.

Grandma cooked for us when we sometimes stayed over. Early morning breakfast, etc.

Another involved with some of my friends. And we were going Thailand (huh?) for some choir event.

So it seemed that this dream somehow brings back to my secondary school days?

Strange thing was that I only dreamt of 4 of my friends (YL, Quek and Claud), and Claud arent even in choir!

We were even eating rojak before our flight at this food centre.

HMMM. Ok I forgot the rest of the details! Happened few nights back. =(

And finally, just last night, I dreamt of sleepovers with my maternal cousins, in an attic.

Strangely, it felt like we were kids because in that dream, my eldest cousin, Yu Rui arent married yet.

We were playing masak-masak but we were all in our 'now' form. As in like young adults, not as a child.

As much as I would like to say that they are beautiful dreams, I've been waking up feeling very exhausted and feeling really weird.

I need to stop being so careless because I nearly killed Truffle the other day.

The place was actually smoky and she could have died from suffocation if we happened to stay out longer

AND if I hadn't remembered that I had left the fire on.my food cooking.

Can't imagine what would have happened if Truffle died because of me. =(

PS// My place still has the strong smoky smell as a reminder of how retarded I can get.

Missed out on this night-out entry with one of my favourite girl, Sophieeee!!

Usually, we will meet to go for a mala indulgence because BF is so anti other places,

BUT

This time it's different!

Managed to convince BF for a pasta night.

And after reading some blog reviews on where's good at Lygon,

Sadly, realised we went to Tiamo II instead of the original Tiamo.

They are just next door! & we went in to the first one that we saw.

Nevertheless, it was the best pasta so far that I've tried at Lygon.

Just Lygon.

Apparently, Lygon is too over-rated for having good pizza and pastas just because they are known as "Little Italy".

Previously, the other places that we've tried arent that good. Especially the last one that I went!

Sadly I forgot the name of that place. ARGH.

Atmosphere - check.

Italians - check.

Crowd - check.

BUT WHY MY PASTA STILL TASTED LIKE CHINESE CHAO-MEIN?

Yet, my order with BF was different - one was white wine vongole and the other one was cream pasta)

and ours tasted similar!

I wished I had remembered the name of the place to serve as a warning to people who happened to stumble onto my blog while searching for "Lygon good pizza or pasta restaurants"

Papa Gino was the other one that I've tried. Apparently the pizza is good which we (or rather BF&I) tried only the garlic pizza. AWWWW.

Can't say much for the main dish though. But I guess the good garlic pizza is an indicative judgement on the quality of their other pizzas!

Regardless, Sophie had tried and said that it's good!

Tiamo II was not tooo bad!

I ordered the TORTELLINI TARTUFO (Ricotta filled tortellini with cream, mushroom & truffle)

Don't expect visible truffle for that price. But pretty not bad! The pasta arent soggy.

I wished they give fresh Parmesan instead of the dried ones.

BF's and Sophie's pizzas were pretty decent!

Harvey's RISOTTO NERO (Rice with cuttlefish ink & thinly sliced cuttlefish) had strong squidy taste which I love!

And they agreed that it was nice too.

Disappointment >>>> Desserts

Despite raves on how good their Tiramisu was.

Initially, my few bites was pretty okkkk and I think that was the middle

BECAUSE when I ate the other side, IT'S SO DRY!

The nutella pizza? Don't get be started.

I licked off the nutella, ate the supermarket icecream and threw away the crust. Left the badly whipped whipped-cream behind too.

'nuff said.

Unsatisfied, we went to Koko Black! (HEHEHEHEHE)

My dessert compartment seemed to be like some kind of overblown pouch.

Forgot to take photos of the dessert but really, hot chocolate looked alike. So no point, right? I had a skinny hot chocolate (HAHAHA, TRYING TO EASE MY GUILT EVEN THO I KNOW IT DOESNT HELP MUCH) and Sophie had her Iced-Chocolate.

Girls can never have enough of sweet treats!

Oh yea, why not Ganache?

We finished our dinner damn late!!! And they closes at 10pm. SADDDDD. Ok, that's beside the point.

Had always wanted to try the Cadbury Creme Egg even though I'm not exactly fond of Cadbury. (Tasted like cheap chocolate imo. My calories intake is precious! Therefore I need to pick what should or should not allow to enter my mouth!)

Most of the houses and apartments in Australia (well, maybe just Melbourne?) are like modernized Kampongs.
They are all made out of wood structure.

Hollow - when I knock on my walls.

No wonder it's so much cheaper lah. Less than a year and the interior has ceilings that seemed to be falling apart. Not to mention, the place is vibrate-able. Ceilings vibrates even when your feet landed slightly harder. And do I have to mention what happened when I use my washing machine? Despite the fact that I got one with DD motor (Less noise, less vibration).

Feel so safe. ♥

That's precisely MY point on why I said many opposition party has the STYLE but NO feasible plans.

It's not just to BRING UP THE FAULTS, just to 'sway' the voters to support them,
or having the GUTS to challenge the ministers.

or NOT giving OPPOSITION the CHANCE.

Errrrr. So you say they need the CHANCE to get into the parliament to say what they are going to do? But don't you think that we need to understand what they want to do before allowing them to take care of Singapore?

Wah so easy, next time I will just speaking up (in a stern tone) and highlight the problems so as to get the how $$$million zillion$$$ salary the government is getting. Don't need to say my next course of action, just tell them to give me chance and I will prove. Maybe I will. HMMM.

A good policy makers will provide THE NEXT COURSE OF ACTION in the problems that have been highlighted.

PLEASE.

I believed nobody, nobody at all is incompetent to improve their lifestyle, even if you are disabled or just down in luck.

It's about your will-power. I understand that it is hard, because many times such has been running through my head;

"If I get caught in a car accident I would rather die then to be disabled."

But, think about it, why let your disability bring you down?

Easy to say, I know. I'm not sure if I can even do it but seriously, I do not think that other people should help you in terms of monetary IF you are not even willing to help yourself.

Probably to give you encouragement to bring yourself together again.

For disabled people, why should they care about what other people think? If you really had wanted to help yourself, just ignore how people look at you. Do you live for them? No.

Another thing, $400 allowance is given to the low-income family.

It is definitely not enough for people who wants to live in COMFORT. But how is that not enough for your basic needs?

Furthermore, you can have free medical care, subsidy for housing, UTILITIES EVEN, etcetc.

Even hospital bills you can have huge subsidies or even have it fully subsidized.

Besides, you can even get training grants so that you can join the workforce again. Even disabled people (mute, deaf, low iq, etc) can get assistance for job employment.

I am really against throwing free money at them. I would gladly volunteer (which I had wanted to do previously at NKF whilst waiting to study in Australia but the compulsory 'orientation' came too late and I had to leave for my studies) and encourage them, donate food to those who need that.

It's about educating them people, education. Not doing charity work.

ALOT of people in Australia are abusing their benefits because it is such a welfare state. This causes laziness because they are given very good monetary support.

They have absolute ZERO determination to help themselves.

What's the point? It's like this quote: "Give a man a fish; you have fed him for today. Teach a man to fish; and you have fed him for a lifetime".

Seriously guys, before you blindly agree with her and not even knowing how blessed we are as compared to other country, please stop getting mesmerized with how beautiful she had pieced everything together but look into the content.
(I had to agree that she is way more literate than the current PAP girl TPL that everyone is mocking at.)

I am just annoyed at how some people just compare the two ladies and FULL STOP. Ok, it's only natural since they are the youngest candidates.

But I strongly feel that everybody will had to look at the group as a whole before placing your votes.

I was just discussing with BF and a friend of ours yesterday at how we should start worrying about the future of Singapore because some retards are even comparing the looks of the two politicians and started "liking" the prettier one. And how they are WOWED by her beautifully scripted notes on FB but (I feel) with little context or evidence to back things up?

I will not say that our healthcare system is cheap but it is definitely affordable. True, probably the rich Singaporeans are able to enjoy better healthcare but at least the poor still get attended to.
If you get cheaper health care, it may lead to higher taxes to all of us. It might also caused people to forgo their health.
Our healthcare system are considerably efficient. I will not say that it is the best as it is definite that there should be a room for improvement, like what everything in life should.

Do you know in Australia, they had their medical bills are covered by their Medicare? Which means, SOMETIMES I CAN'T EVEN GET AN APPOINTMENT TO SEE THE DOCTOR DESPITE CALLING THEM AT LIKE 7AM+ BECAUSE IT IS FULLY BOOKED.
Not just to one clinic, but probably my whole suburbs. So hello to the hospitals.

It seemed that people are abusing the services because they are being taxed very highly because of such privileged services. So might as well make use of the free services, right? Even my lecturers are complaining because people do not care much about their health since it's the govt who cover the cost, WHY CARE?

And govt are able to do so because they imposed heavy taxes on their residents.

I'm stating from my experience I had in AU (USA & Canada accord to BF who had friends there and are complaining about it too).

So, cheaper health care does not necessary means good. Anyway, SG already has a polyclinic which I feel is good for the lower income people. So what if you have to wait? At least you get treated.

Nevertheless, I agree that an improvement should be done. But probably to have better health education (in which I feel SG is doing very well on that already to have the compulsory Health Education subject during our childhood) on a more in-depth sickness like chronic diseases and such? I think there is nothing much to address on the cost so frankly speaking, I find it redundant.

Ok, that's just my point of view.

I must say, the exciting part of my life right now is probably in the other side of my world -

Dreams.

Last night, I was embracing my late grandma and I woke up crying.

It was a long hug and I was wailing in my dreams.

Even after I had continued with my sleep thereafter, the thoughts of the dream caused me to cry again.

Had double the nightmare but I could only remember this.

It was supposed to be a happy dream but knowing that she is not there anymore made my heart ache.

Oh well, life goes on.

And it ever happened before,

"Suddenly, I came to a realization that I was in a dream, whilst in my sleep AND I just had to wake up, to get out of my dream. I could hear the outside world; it sounded "echo-ish". I was oblivious of the surroundings but I was not able to be in touch with the reality.

I tried to pry open my eyes - failed. Tried to scream, shout and cry, in hope that somebody could wake me up, with fear that I might not be able to wake up forever - failed.

Felt so breathless; its like something compressing my lungs. I thought that I was dying.

Really felt like giving up trying to wake up.

Yup, I was extremely extremely terrified."

Told that to mummy the other time when that had happened. She explained that it was my nerves getting all paralyzed. It's what many people called it "鬼壓身" but mummy said it's silly. (Agree agree!) Never believed in such supernatural stuffs.

Because she was there to comfort me, and she seemed to know what I had gone through, I quickly brushed that off.

Anyway, it happened again.

Had this eerie and disturbed feeling that I will die in my sleep one day and so, I decided to google "felt that not able to wake up from sleep".

To my relieve, plenty of results showing "Sleep Paralysis" appeared.

Felt glad that I could relate my experience with other people around the world. They had felt the exact same thing.

So far, no one has been reported dying from such. (へべキ)

Still, it's a terrifying feeling that I dread facing it again. Or at least, let me script out my last words, just in case I die in my sleep. HAHA. シ

ps// Nevertheless, I had an energized 24h sleep - from Thursday to Saturday.

It happened when I was walking towards the carpark after doing some mid-week grocery shopping and this company delivery van with two delivery men (late 20s) stopped to speak to me.

They said they had extra stock thus why.

Apparently, they find it a waste to return them back? Even opened up and show them to me. AND.

They even helped me to carry my groceries back to the car. HMMM.

Still,

I find it odd and fishy so I decided to turn them down.

Was kind of cold to them too. Oh boy.

Its not like I know they are my suitors but they are strangers!

Story:

I was actually running around with Truffle outside of the apartment when I felt this sudden rush of blood to my brain and this floating feeling.

Then,

I quickly ran back to the apartment and into the toilet. That's where I fall 'gently'

Really 'gently' because I squatted first and thennnn try to land by sliding against the wall.

I was still kind of conscious while falling before really sort-of gone!

Lie on the floor for about a minute and immediately called out to BF when I sort of regain conscious.

I hid in the toilet because was too embarrassed! Like why so weak one!

In the end, because I was really feeling not ok that I had to call out to BF.

So I kind of slept on the sofa while they eat. HMMMM. Ok. I though it was a funny Christmas memory.

Dreamt of Ah Ma again the other day (about 3 days ago I think).

She was happily cooking for us, like she always do.

Furthermore, she was supposed to pass away on that day. Everybody knew. Including her.

We took turn to exchange hugs and kisses with Ah Ma while eating her yummy home-cooked.

She was very happy. Smiling.

I'm sure this is how she wanted to spend her last few moments before returning HOME.

Glad she did, at least in my dreams.

I really am afraid to go back SG because the fact that Ah Ma is gone will strike/slap/kick me hard again. But of course, at the same time I have many loved ones back in SG.. so just saying.

I know, it's expected that I have to bid farewell to her one day. I just couldnt help feeling sad that I wont be seeing her again and that 26th Feb was our last goodbye.

I strongly feel that if you are after good Japanese food, there are other better places, even in Melbourne.

Probably you would have noticed that the nail of my ring finger (second photo) is shorter than the rest.

Part of the reason why I had picked the assorted design.

Hopefully none of the designs are too offffff!

I thought it looked pretty good though.

Furthermore it's pretty easy to do! As you can see, most are beautify by the nail stickersssss.

The breakfast turned lunch. At Mart 130.

Pretty sure most who have been staying in Melbourne for awhile has heard of the awesome breakfast place located at Middle Park.

Interesting location; old station master's building @ a tram stop which explains why the name of the cafe is Mart, tram spelt backwards.

Their signature dish, corn fritters, was just alrighttttttttt.

Also because I went there with high expectations because I have heard of all the raves like "CORN FRITTERS A MUCH TRY" sort of thing...

So,

I must say I was a little disappointed.

Won't deny the corn fritters were loaded with corn instead of flour. Thumbs up for that but I thought it would have been better if its more crispy on the outside.

Then again, I did not grew up with such breakfast so I am in no position to comment what a corn fritter should taste like.

Furthermore, it's my second time trying corn fritters. HMMMM.

Bacon was good though! SLURPS.

Sophie had her poached eggs, toast and smoked salmon.

Never liked poached egg so I can't comment much on that.

It looks really pretty though!

The ambiance is pretty nice.

Would say a nice place to chill.

They even used expensive handwash (couldnt remember if it was Crabtree & Evelyn or Loccitane)

Many also said they serve FANTASTIC coffee but I won't agree on that.

Go elsewhere if you thought that they serve good coffee!

Had a mossie-wallaby-strawberrylicious-breakfasty good time with Bf and one of my favouite gf, Sophie!

She actually stayed over the weekend as my horror movie companion (BOO TO BF WHO'S NOT STEADY ONEEEE. HAHAHA :] )

and the 3 of us played the Lil Big Planet + Resident Evil toooooo.

Memories are beautiful.

Anyway had intended to post those photos up earlier but been busy trying to organise things and am also in a bad mood due to the departure of my Ah Ma.

Not that I've got the mood now..

Though I actually felt better after this conversation with my sister:

My cousin, who is in UK studying, was also not able to attend the funeral as well.

It makes me believed that Ah Ma really came to our dreams and is probably in a better place since it was a happy dream.

Of course the sense of loss is still there... ok ok.

Shall really stop to bore you guys any furtherrrrrrr.

Ah Ma's religion = Buddhism thus she had me to visit a temple on my own for the very first time.

Hopefully Ah Ma can hear my prayers.

To all who had sent their condolences. Really appreciate it.

I'm fine.

Emotional only when it strikes me that my Ah Ma is no longer around.

Or when I got reminded of her unconditional love, even for her grandchildren.

Somehow, I kept having the feeling that she is still alive.

It is probably because she left me with just beautiful memories as I did not get to attend her wake.

Not sure if it is a good or bad thing; - I feel, at least I wont get haunted at the sight of her getting pushed into the chamber.

It would have been heart wrenching.

I cried even when I see those whom arent that close to me getting cremated so I really can't imagine how I would have reacted since I love my Ah Ma alot.

Of course, if I had a choice I would want to send her off.

Even though I was not physically there, I am glad to have the updates from my sisters and cousins.

One of my cousins even told me what happened during her last few moments when she was still alive; and it really breaks my heart. I am really grateful for your time in letting me know as I am not clueless to what have had happened.

When she was pulseless (clinical death), my cousin did CPR for her but stopped at the 3rd time as he did not want to prolong her pain. It was a painful decision but her cancer was already at the last stage and she was not about to go for chemotherapy.

When they told her to rest in peace, she actually teared; witnessed by my aunts and even my second sis.

Apparently, even when you are declared clinical death, your organs will not fail all at once. Instead, it will start to stop functioning one by one before you get to bio death.

So, you can actually still hear even from the cessation of the normal circulation, thus explaining her tears.

My Ah Ma was a very strong woman who stubbornly refused to admit that she was in pain. She has secretly been MASSIVELY applying those medicated oil and it burnt her skin.

(Ah Ma had colon cancer in which spreads to her liver and apparently to her brain too during the last few moments.)

Oh well, memories. :(

Anyway because of her departure, my two sisters, some of my cousins (so far I only know of one who is doing that, I think!) and of course, myself are going vegan on 初一 & 初一十五.

P.S. On a happier note, my dear friend, Sophieeee travelled all the way from the city to my place just to pass me some yummy macarons (she knows I love it!) just to cheer me up! She wanted to surprise me (sort of failed but it's ok because I was very very touched by that sweet gesture.)

Grandma,

Thank you for appearing in my dreams the past two days.

I think it was really you who came to my dream, since you were back in heaven two days ago, before I even knew that you were gone.

Anyway, we were all having reunion dinner and you appeared happy and healthy. I really do hope that it was you, telling me that you are happier now.

Life has been hard for you, being a foster child who grew up doing housework and surrounded by some evil step-siblings (*deleted something here unwillingly).

Happiness is probably when you get showered with the love from your filial daughters. Ok, and son too (*deleted something here unwillingly).

I find it really unfair that you have to be in pain even before you return to heaven.

I really do hope that our love and warmth did lessen your sufferings.

You are really the best grandma, or rather, best grandparent amongst those that I have/had. I will miss all the beautiful memories that you have given me and your kind soul has indeed touched my heart.

I will miss your popiah, your mee suah, your creative "pasta" and "sushi", your usual fried noodles, your super spicy chilli, the mee pok in your special sauce - you used to make for me for my breakfast when we stayed over because mummy was stressed taking care of my two younger sisters who were very young then, your "gok zai" (Peanut puff)

, and so so so many other yummy things.

The cute thing is that you will always prepare them via estimation, even cakes!

Whenever it was done superbly well, mummy always joked that I have to remember that taste because it will never be the same the next time round when you prepare it again.

I also miss all your actions like how you like to wash the vegetables and soak it for quite awhile because you claimed that it is very dirty (in which will affect the nutrien

ts content by soaking for too long but I know you like things your way), how you kept saying that you prefer home-cooked because food consumed outside = dirty, how you need to boil water to make the ice instead of just refilling it from the tap, how you always have your radio with you, how you prepare tea for me, how you refused to use the expensive foot massager and body massager that your daughters bought for you saying that it is uncomfortable (?!?), how you insisted on buying this magazine because I was inside, your generosity like giving us money for lanterns, sweets, your cute laughters, etcetc.

There is so so many other things and I will always remember them.

I also remember this song that you always sing whenever you prepare this dessert called "Mee Teh" when I was young.

"Mee teh suo suo jiak liao tio beh pio" (Hokkien)

This has always pop up in my head once in a while.

Till now, I can't remember if I had actually ate that before but I remember it smelling so damn good and that you promised to prepare for me some other time when I can get to eat.

(I was very weak when I was younger, heaty or cold food = asthmatic cough for me.)

You gave me so many memories. What I regret is not visiting you as frequent compared to when I was younger - all the other commitments in which I now feel is redundant.

Thank god I get to visit you again right before I leave SG for Melb on Feb 26, when I gave you a last hug and kiss.

I was actually feeling very vexed, knowing that it will be the last time. It is part of the reason why I burst into tears later in the evening before leaving for the airport.

Ah ma,

I know that you are in a better place now. Tomorrow, March 16, you will be cremated and I'm sorry I couldnt see you off. I hoped that you can receive my prayers.

I will always miss you and you will always always always hold an important place in my heart.

I love you. Very very much.
